Information about residence card and re-entry permit

Unfortunately, it is not possible to order residence cards at the moment. We are working on a solution.

If a foreigner with a residence and work permit in the Faroe Islands needs to travel abroad, they must apply for a re-entry permit no later than 1 month before the planned departure.

Applications for re-entry permits must be handed in at the police station. The application form, AFL, is available at www.utlendingastovan.fo/en/application under “Application Forms - Other forms”.
